The Role
As a key part of our seismic processing team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Processing seismic data using advanced software and algorithms to enhance resolution and interpretation.
- Collaborating with geophysicists and other specialists to understand project needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Performing quality control on data processing outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Developing and implementing new processing techniques to improve workflow efficiency.
- Providing technical support and training to junior staff on processing techniques and technologies.
- Staying current with industry advancements and innovations to continuously enhance our processing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing software such as Landmark, Petrel, or SeisWorks to carry out seismic data processing tasks.
- Conducting depth conversion and inversion processes for subsurface analysis.
- Documenting workflows and methodologies to maintain comprehensive records of data processing activities.
- Engaging in multi-disciplinary project meetings to share insights and progress updates.
- Assisting in data visualization efforts to present complex seismic results effectively.
- Interacting with clients to clarify project requirements and present findings.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in seismic data processing or a related area.
- Proficiency in seismic processing software and interpretable languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information simply.
- A team player with a strong desire to collaborate and innovate.
