What We’re Looking For

We are searching for talented and motivated individuals to join our driving team. Our ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:

• HGV License: A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license is essential.
• Driving Experience: A proven track record of at least 12 months of HGV driving experience.
• CPC Qualification: Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) certification is required.
• Commitment to Safety: A strong understanding of and commitment to road safety and regulations.
• Customer Focus: Ability to provide excellent customer service and effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
• Team Player: We value teamwork; a collaborative attitude is essential.

A Day in the Life of a Sainsbury’s HGV Driver

• Route Planning: You will be responsible for planning your route effectively to ensure timely deliveries, while also adhering to all safety protocols.
• Vehicle Checks: Conducting pre-trip inspections and ensuring your vehicle is in safe and roadworthy condition before setting off.

• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate logs of deliveries and ensuring compliance with legal documentation.
