Job Overview

As a photocopy machine operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain photocopying equipment. You will work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and ensure that all documents are copied and printed accurately according to client specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, an ability to multitask, and the skills necessary to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-speed photocopy machines to produce documents efficiently.
• Prepare documents for copying, including sorting, organizing, and ensuring quality checks.
• Load and unload paper stocks, toner, and other materials as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on photocopy machines, including cleaning, troubleshooting, and replacing supplies.
• Ensure all print requests are completed on time, adhering to deadlines set by the production team.
• Maintain logs of work completed, including machine usage, supplies used, and time spent on each job.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to streamline processes and improve productivity.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in print production technology is a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in a print production environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Proficient in the use of photocopying and printing equipment.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for minor equipment issues.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
