Position Overview

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated MEP Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the successful delivery of MEP projects from inception to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid to senior-level professional to contribute to exciting projects and work alongside a talented team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP installations, ensuring all aspects are accounted for and detailed.
• Manage and oversee the financial aspects of all MEP projects, from initial budgeting through to final account settlement.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and budgeting constraints.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
• Review and analyze subcontractor proposals, ensuring that they meet required specifications and project budgets.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on project costs, changes, and forecasts to inform project stakeholders.
• Advise on procurement strategies and prepare tender documentation as required.
• Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to MEP costs and contracts in coordination with the legal team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on MEP projects.
• Professional qualification (MRICS or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and contractual procedures.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with effective communication skills.
