Job Summary

The Associate Practitioner will work under the supervision of a senior practitioner in various laboratory departments. You will be involved in a range of diagnostic testing services, playing a crucial role in the workflow of the lab. Your responsibilities will include assisting with laboratory procedures, supporting quality control measures, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the lab operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist with routine laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and perform necessary pre-analytical processes.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Document and report test results accurately and promptly, following established protocols.
• Assist with the training of new staff and students, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and implications for patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance programs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on new laboratory techniques, technology advances, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in Biomedical Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of laboratory processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
